Why do I keep falling madly in love with older anime? Like, old enough that the fandoms are dying? Oh, Weiss Kreuz, four episodes in and I'm lost to you.

In other news, a snippet from the next chapter of Improbable Plot:

“Harry Potter,” the Dark Lord murmured, smiling horribly. Yet, Harry noted, he still feared his daughter’s smile rather more, particularly in conjunction with the words ‘slumber’ and ‘party’. He decided then and there that no one ever needed to know he found preteen girls more frightening than full-fledged megalomaniac dark wizards. Kingsley would laugh for decades. “I believe you are dead in this world.”

And oh, was Harry ever curious about that.

“In a not entirely unrelated subject,” Voldemort went on intently, “in this world, your family has opposed my ascent to power rather…vocally.”

Well, okay, sometimes it kind of sucked to have your curiosity assuaged right away.

Re: Erm...

Not unless you think the story's not worth reccing anymore. Which, uh, considering this is basically me writing every cliche I can fit into one story, with space for any tangent that takes my interest...well. Enough said, I suppose.

BUT. Thanks for the rec!

Can you *SMELL* when I have no $$?!?

Because I'm almost totally broke and I have to take $
out of my "beer & food money" for Ch.18 of "Scorpius Malfoy

(OK, it's only .50c and it's money *very well* spent, but
you don't usually update so quick...I'm not sure if I
should feel blessed or scared...)

On another note, the HP/Gundam Wing x-over that you were
threatening us with, you can put me down as a "yes".

And also, have you ever read the "Twilight Series"?
My BFF #1(Who is *so NOT* a fangirl of anything, but I've
been friends with her so long she gets a vicarius thrill
about *my* fangurling![1]) inadvertantly got me hooked...

(Though that was probably my fault as well, as I'd made
references to jokes made in H/D fanfic regarding, "Sparkly,
Twinkly, Vampires" and "Cedric Diggery Turned Draco Malfoy"
and 15 minutes later I heard, "Oh, BTW...If you want to watch
the first "twilight" movie, my purchase starts in 3 minutes")

Um...I'm not sure why I added that last bit...

[1]30 years, if you were curious...

Re: Can you *SMELL* when I have no $$?!?

Heh. I've been updating pretty regularly mostly due to the fact that I'm pretty much on hiatus from work at the moment. Due to moving back to Chicago for a few months, WOE AND TEARS AND PAIN. So, you know, I have no money but I'm an editing/writing FIEND.

Oh man. I'm more a fan of mocking Twilight than I am of the actual franchise. AND YET. I keep wanting to write a GWTwilight fusion, where Duo meets this mysterious and moody Heero guy who sparkles in the sunlight. And Duo's all, "WOW, so lame" and Heero's all "THIS IS THE SKIN OF A KILLER", and Duo's like, "No, that's body glitter". Yeah, I dunno.

Actually, I'm more apt to wanna watch something once I
know one of the Main Actors has been corrupted by teh gangrene
that people know as "Teh Harry Potter Series". And, personally?
I *really* didn't know that the male lead in "twilight"
was played by Robert Patterson (Who played Cedric Diggery in
the GOF movie) until I read the wrong fanfic...who I then
quoted all the jokes to my *normal* BFF#1 (Whose cousin Rachel
got REALLY addicted to "Twilight" and she had to hear ALL about

All I can say is...Oops!

Re: Erm...

I try so freaking hard not to think about the sorts of crossovers Robert Pattinson has spawned. Dear lord.

So I just watched the Twilight movie, with rifftrax commentary included--the guys who did MST3K, that is--and good god, Pattinson kept his promise to play Edward as a self-hating stalkerish abusive manic-depressive. LOVE.

Re: *cries!*

As for the crossovers, I haven't ready any, but I know there's a kajillion out there on ff.net. And the rifftrax commentary--you've got to go to rifftrax.com to get it, and then sync it up with a copy of the Twilight movie. Unless you can rent the movie or have it already, it's not worth the cost, but it's still fun.

Anime Rec (Because I'm like, *that* evil...)

Kyou Kara Maou!

Seriously...check it out...

Oh, you have to fill in the blanks yourself, but in the first
episode our happless hero (who has dark hair) accidently (after
getting flushed down a toilet by bullies) lands in another
world, finds out that he's the "Demon King", and because he
has less than zero knowlege about the world's customs winds
up betrothed to someone who hates his guts, but is more than
willing to "take one for the team"...

*Snaps fingers*

Oh yeah...I *almost* forgot to mention...his fiancee is a stunning
blond...a MALE stunning blond...

(Shades of H/D!)

No thanks needed...it's my (unpaid) job...

Re: Anime Rec (Because I'm like, *that* evil...)

Oh, man, so I actually have seen about a third of that series so far. KONRAD. Oh, and Gwendal is maybe my one true love. Hah, I was watching maybe the third episode when one of my friends came in, and she's NOT a fan of anime or manga. But after a total of forty seconds, she was declaring her undying love for Konrad, and even though she started out kind of hating Wolfram, now she thinks he and Yuuri are the most adorable couple ever. It's hysterical.

It is kinda fun to watch the fangirling gangrene spread...

(A decades old quote from "Cerebus The Aardvark" that I've
adapted for my own evol purposes...)

Erm...I'm not too sure if this the right place to opine, but...

I was watching an episode of "Angel" this morning and there's this
scene of Angel and Spike having a rather loud argument (And you just
wanna scream, "Oh just *SNOG* already, will yah!") and after Knox came
in to break up the fight, it turned out that the *whole* fight was
about "Who would win in a fight:Cavemen Or Astronauts"

Knox:"THAT'S what you spent 40 minutes arguing over?!?"

Angel & Spike:"YES!"

Knox:"What a stupid argument!!"

(2-3 heartbeats pass)

Knox:"Um, do either of them have weapons?"

Angel & Spike:"NO!"

And If you've watched this episode before, this question keeps coming
up from the various characters...

The scary thing about this argument is that My $$ would've been
put squarely on the "caveman" side, but when I went to teh "watering
hole/reading room" and I asked my best "BarFriend" (who IF the various
IDs that he's showed me are real...*shrugs!*) came down solidly on teh
"Astronaut-side' of the equasion-with the same exact reasoning that
Angel did...

Re: Erm...I'm not too sure if this the right place to opine, but...

I ADORE that scene. So much. Oh man, any scene with Spike and Angel is awesome--I maybe actually kind of OTP them hardcore. Like, they're right up there with CordeliaDoyle for me.

Re: HEE! (Regarding KKM)

Man, as much as I enjoy that series, I can't watch more than a couple of episodes every few days. It makes my brain hurt. Although I could watch the scene where Yuuri gives Gwendal the dolphin keychain a thousand times in a row. And my favorite scene, I could watch forever. It's when Yuuri tries to intimidate a prisoner during an interrogation by being all, "WHAT WOULD YOUR MOTHER THINK", while Gwendal very obviously draws his sword in the background and gives that special glower only he can manage. And the prisoner breaks in about point five seconds, Yuuri's all 'HAH, I HAVE PREVAILED', Gwendal's smug as hell, and Konrad is cracking the hell up by the door. LOVE.

Re: HEE! (Regarding KKM)

Thanx 4 teh heads up, as I'm about to get kiddnapped by BFF#1
to the "Assends of nowhere" so I MIGHT actully may need something
that wasn't:

1)Harry Potter
2)Anything involving "Twilight"
3)an electonic version of crack (I.E. a GOOD video game)
(Yeah, she has full cable, but that doesn't help much...)

(mentally throws the last 2 DVD volumes of KKM and ALSO throws
the most recent 2 manga volumes of KKM two...)
